I want to age well too.
Since there has been nothing exceptionally exciting going on recently let me use this time to introduce you to an actress I admire a lot. You've probably already seen Gong Li (or Li Gong in English) as Hatsumomo in Memoirs of a Geisha, so you already know that she is stunningly beautiful, but did you know she's old enough to be my mother?!
Curse of the Golden Flower, Hannibal Rising, Miami Vice & Memoirs of a Geisha.
I can't believe she's already 41 years old. I hope I age that well when I turn 17 years and 288 months old.
I first saw her in the film Raise of the Red Lantern when I was really young. At that time I didn't really appreciate the film because even as a child I loved opulent set designs and elaborate costumes (think Curse of the Golden Flower), yet when I watched it again in my late teens I realized what an amazing story Gong Li told through her character Songlian. If you enjoy foreign films then I do recommend you watch this one. It's gritty, raw and unforgettable.
This is one of my favorite photo shoots of Gong Li from French Vogue a few years back.

My pictures were taken from Admiring Gong Li.
A few days ago a friend came over to visit me at 2am in the morning. Since it was very late at night I had already taken a shower so my hair was tied up in a messy bun, I wearing track suits and because I took my contact lenses out already I had my glasses on instead.
My friend saw me and he said, "wow, you look like such a nerd with glasses on."
I almost died laughing. How I wished I was nerd while I was back in high school as it would have meant I was conscientious hardworking student, but unfortunately I was never able to achieve nerdom. I was a geek at times but never a nerd.
But according to my friend all I really need to do is put on my glasses and I'd at least look the part. I think I may try this for my university classes.
