Fashion Icon?
My throat is so sore that I can barely speak with my normally chirpy tone of voice. Although I have to say that the huskiness is also kinda sexy. I'm going to attempt to sing some Macy Gray songs soon.I've been trying to isolate myself from people because I don't want anyone else to catch my cold (awww, aren't I nice?) but that makes me lonely. I've spent the entire day studying and watching intellectually stimulating TV shows such as Extreme Makeover.
I am now going to blog about an issue close to my heart. It is that of the Fashion Icon. Now there are a lot of people who worship the styles of the Olsen Twins, Mischa Barton, Kate Moss and Nicole Richie, just to name a few. These girls have become such popular icons that there are equally many people who criticize their style, saying it's contrived and boring. I can't find myself fitting in neither category, since I don't think they're iconic, but then half the time I'm saving their photos on my computer as inspiration for an outfit. My problem is perhaps that all we see on these girls are Seven Jeans, Sass & Bide, Tsubi/Ksubi, "vintage" (AKA dead people's clothes!) and the latest designer "IT" bag. Having said that I also buy Sass & Bide clothes etc. so I'm can't judge. I just want to see the return of high fashion from this new wave of Hollywood girls. I find it more inspirational because it's not something normal people can wear. Anyone can buy a pair of Tsubi jeans, but who else but a celebrity can wear a Chanel couture tweed skirt?
Who do I find iconic then?

No other than Ms Stefani of course (as I had posted before).
I also really like Milla Jovovich and Chloë Sevigny's style.

What do you guys think? Who is your Fashion Icon?
