Osaka Part 2
I know I said that I'll post part 2 up tomorrow... 3 days ago, but my Japanese Language Proficiency Test is on this Sunday so I've been working hard studying my particlesand adverbs and all sorts of other disgusting grammar points. Aren't you all proud of me? =D
We were all in biology today and our teacher asked us which animal had the heaviest brain. The students called out a number of different animals ranging from dolphins to goldfish... yes someone called out GOLDFISH! So being the sensible older girl, I put up my hand and said, "whale". The animal with the largest brain is actually the Sperm Whale and I was going to say, "sperm" in Japanese but then realized it might only be used for sperm sperm... as in testicle sperm... @.@
Anyway, the teacher nodded and told us that a whale's brain can weigh up to 9kg. Then my friend Mai, who sits in the first row asked, "how heavy would my brain be? As in a humans brain?"
The boy who sits next to her called Manaki, who's on the basketball team, promptly answered, "Probably around 500grams!"
This of course raised laugher from the class... but poor poor Mai. I laughed too though.
Right. Now onto the photos from The Universal Studios in Osaka. It was raining on the Sunday so I wasn't really in the mood to be in the photos with droplets of water running down my face, and wet clothes, so I took most of the photos instead. I also had a terrific time though, despite the cold, the rain, the wind, the tsunami... there wasn't really a tsunami but there could have been a tsunami. There was a tsunami in my area a few weeks ago, and it was a whole 50cm! As in 0.5 meters!!! We even had tsunami warnings flashing on every television program we watched! I don't know how they could even tell that it was a tsunami... it might have been a wave?! Anyway...

I'm sorry for the lack of posts recently. I've been packing (just sent 35kg of my stuff back home by ship, so it'll take around 2 months to get there) and I've been seriously... actually doing some studying. Aren't you all proud of me? =D
I promise I'll post more after my exam.
